Using the Committees Tab

Overview

The Committees Tab contains comprehensive committee information including all committee markup votes, complete coverage of all committee meetings, scheduled upcoming committee events and the full text of committee reports, testimony and selected transcripts.

What can I find on the Committees Tab?

The Top Stories always appear inside the content well. CQ's complete coverage of committee markups appears next, followed by detailed information on upcoming scheduled committee events. You can use the "Show Me" drop-down menu to the right to view complete coverage and scheduled events of any House or Senate committee of your choice.

Searching committees

By using the search feature to the left, you can quickly use your word lists or bill lists or type in words or bill numbers to search the following committee databases: CQ Schedules, CQ Committee Hearings, CQ Markup and Vote Coverage, CQ Committee Meetings, Committee Reports, Committee Testimony, Congressional Transcripts and CQ Conference Meetings. By clicking Advanced Search, you can limit your search to more detailed criteria including specific committees.

Can I find a complete list of committee members here?

Yes. Use the Shortcuts box to the left to select your desired committee and then click the circle next to "Roster & Contacts." Click on "Go" to view your results. Your search will return a complete list of members categorized by party. The results will also include all subcommittees.

Getting the latest committee reports

In the column to the right are links to full text versions of the latest committee reports.

Using Shortcuts

You may use the Shortcuts menu on the left to retrieve information on a specific committee. First, choose a committee from the drop-down menu, then choose the type of information you would like to receive on that committee from the following:
